When the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait shook the entire Gulf in 1990, one of the largest humanitarian operations of all times was underway, the historic Airlift of India, in which over 170,000 of its citizens were evacuated. One of the evacuees was a young Indian man whose life was going to change permanently. Telling a story of how he managed to escape a Kuwait devastated by war to establish a successful business empire in Dubai, this is what the very notion of resilience, reinvention, and opportunity in the UAE is all about.
